Astral Alcove is a bookstore and cafe specializing in sci-fi, fantasy, and metaphysical literature. The ask: a flexible brand system that feels equally at home in a cozy nook or a cosmic voyage.
After taking over a historical space, the owners wanted a brand identity that could match the eclectic feel of the space while being flexible enough to use for bags, signage, a cafe, and e-commerce. The brand identity should exude coziness but pay homage to the large selection of sci-fi and space themed fiction and non-fiction.
The Astral Alcove brand combines a vintage inspired wordmark with space photography and jewel tones to create a cozy, literary vibe with a cosmic edge.
